You will have heard of Santorini, Mykonos and Crete, but there are many more remote islands to explore. Mykonos has fabulous nightlife and is an ideal spot for sunset drinks with a lively atmosphere. If you're hoping to experience a more traditional Greek holiday, head towards the rugged clifftops of Meteora or sink into a cabana on the white-washed beaches of Othonoi.
Samothrace
The island of Samothrace is known for its laid back vibe. Featuring waterfalls, castles, hot springs and gorgeous pebbled beaches, the island has an abundance of beautiful places to explore.
It's said there are more goats on the island than people, so watch your hat! Mount Saos is one of the highest mountains in the Aegean, so it's well worth the hike. Head to Kamariotissa is the spot for a fresh catch at dinner.
The best time to visit is from April - October if you want the optimum weather for activities such as hiking, mountain biking, canoe rafting, kayaking and paragliding.
Milos
Greece's best-kept secret! It's easy to get to from Athens and has more beaches than many of the other Cyclades. Milos is also volcanic, meaning the vast natural beauty is lush and dramatic.
Half of the island is a nature reserve, so if you're into the local fauna, hire a guide and discover the quieter left-hand side of the island by horseback. If you'd prefer to be on the water, there's plenty of paddle boarding, sailing and island hopping to keep you entertained. Don't miss the Sikia cave that's only accessible by boat.
Visit from May - October, for the warmest weather.

Amanzoe Hotel
You'll feel like royalty, staying in the Amanzoe Hotel in Porto. Its 360-degree views are breathtaking, yet your eyes are drawn to the beauty of the building itself. The private pavilions and marble villas are held up with gigantic columns, mimicking the Greek ruins that surround the area.
The resort boasts its own private beach, fragrant gardens, a fleet of speedboats waiting in the bay below its spacious hilltop position. This hotel is unbelievable, and we hope you enjoy it as it's one of our favourite luxury hotels in Greece.

Santorini Secret Suites & Spa
This five-star boutique property sits perched on the cliffs of Santorini and lives up to every Greek dream holiday. With marble walkways, private balconies and infinity pools to splash into before breakfast. Although the hotel is vast, it has a very intimate feel, with only 17 rooms. This means the service, cleanliness and personal experience are a top priority.
Whether you'd like to be sipping cocktails in the pool bar, dining on the outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean or just reading a book in peace by your own private pool. This really is a great spot to relax and unwind.

Andronis Concept Wellness Resort
If you've got your heart set on Santorini but aren't so keen on the similar white-washed hotels you see on Instagram. Then look no further than the cave style Andronis Resort. Described as a place of irresistible beauty and tranquillity, it's the ideal place to watch the sunset against the Aegean. The sophisticated accommodation is romantic, contemporary with a splash of traditional Santorinian style.
This is one of our favourite properties, as you can adopt a grapevine in the Andronis' vineyard and receive 6 personalized bottles of wine delivered to you throughout the year. Isn't that a brilliant touch?

Zagori
An area of outstanding natural beauty not to be missed. Situated in the northwest of the Greek mainland and smothered with thick green canopies and rugged mountains, Zagori is a true gem that is yet to be properly discovered by tourists. Explore the tiny villages nestled beside the bumbling streams that feed the community. The best way to explore real Greece is to grab your trainers and explore on foot. The Vikos Gorge is not to be missed.
Diapontia Islands
Out of the 6,000 islands, only 227 are inhabited, so there's plenty of exploring to do. The Diapontia islands are a hidden paradise with sparkling turquoise waters, empty beaches and wild scenery. Keep a lookout for dolphins when you're bathing in the Ionian sea.
Meteora
A small village perched on the top of a cliff. The incredible cliffs below make it a striking landmark. It's a great spot to enjoy the sunset or e-bike up to the monastery at the top for the best view.
