8 days
Day 1 - Fly to Geneva, pick up your hire car and meander down to Annecy. It’s only 45 minutes in the car. Head to the lake for a refreshing dip.
Day 2 - Today it’s time to explore Annecy on foot. The gorgeous cobbled streets, filled with shops, restaurants and little hidden artisanal businesses all tucked away. Enjoy dinner by the water, and taste the local catch from the lake.
Day 3 - Take a short hike up the Semnoz to take in the views over the lake with Mont Blanc in the distance. If you fancy it, you could even take a short sunset paraglide flight over the lake.
Day 4 - From Annecy, jump in the car and wind your way up to Chamonix. Catch a glimpse of the alpine cows with bells ringing, and birds of prey circling overhead. The mountains in Chamonix are vast, and when you stand in the centre of town, you really feel like they are towering over you.
Day 5 - Head up to the Aiguille du Midi, and remember to take an extra layer as it can be chilly up there. Learn all about the history of alpinism and read stories on past adventures. Get a close-up view of Mont Blanc and all its glacial beauty.
Day 6 - Jump back in the car and cross over into Switzerland. Stay on the shoreline of Lake Geneva, and go for a little evening cruise on the water.
Day 7 - Spend the day tasting local wine with a tour of a local vineyard. Afterwards, enjoy a feast of fondue, local meats and more in front of the lakeside views and the snow-capped mountains.
Day 8 - Slowly meander along the lake and head back to Geneva for your return flight home. Stop for a coffee on the way and pick up some Swiss chocolates from a local chocolatier.
